To support reliable and sustainable domestic wastewater management across its mining operations, Ganeca Environmental Services provided dedicated engineering support to PT Sumbawa Timur Mining for the operation and maintenance of its Containerized Sewage Treatment Plant (CSTP). The dedicated engineer was responsible for supporting day-to-day CSTP operations, monitoring treatment unit conditions and performance, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and monitoring process parameters and treated wastewater quality. Beyond technical operations, the dedicated engineer also supported operational recordkeeping, reporting, system performance evaluation, and coordination with relevant teams. This integrated approach helped ensure that the CSTP operated effectively, consistently, and in line with the site's operational requirements. 

Operating a CSTP in a mining environment requires a high level of treatment system reliability to maintain the continuity of domestic wastewater treatment. Variations in wastewater flow and characteristics can affect system performance if not consistently monitored and controlled. In parallel, maintenance activities need to be systematically planned and executed to minimize operational disruptions and prevent equipment failures. Routine monitoring of process parameters, equipment condition, and treatment performance is also essential to support timely corrective actions and system optimization. These operational requirements called for dedicated technical personnel stationed on site, enabling responsive and continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation, and coordination. 

Ganeca deployed a dedicated engineer integrated with PT Sumbawa Timur Mining's operational team to provide comprehensive support for CSTP operation and maintenance. Through this dedicated support model, daily operations, performance monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting were managed as an integrated part of the overall CSTP operation. This approach enabled the site team to address operational issues more responsively while maintaining consistent oversight of the treatment system and its performance. 

The dedicated engineer support strengthened the implementation of Managed Environmental Operations for the CSTP through continuous technical assistance and on-site operational support. Through close collaboration between the dedicated engineer and PT Sumbawa Timur Mining's internal team, CSTP management was carried out in a more controlled, responsive, and consistent manner, supporting the continuity of domestic wastewater treatment operations at the mining site.
